The Weekender: 2010

I have to admit, I'm one of those stupid kids that wakes up at like 5 in the morning to stand in line to purchase the latest retro release from Jordan Brand. It seems the past 3 Christmas's, I have been able to give myself a gift of each of my favorite retro. My utmost favorite shoe from Jordan is the 11's (the one with patent leather all around the shoe, if you are not familiar). When I was a kid, I ALWAYS wanted them and my cousin at the time got the OG's of this shoe and they were a size 6!...My cousin is also a BA graduate at School of Visual Arts in NY so when I asked him if I could have these shoes, He told me "Damn Wa, I was going to give it to you but I just NAILED them to a piece of wood for an art project"....NAILED!??!?!? damn I thought that was the last time I'd see those Bred 11's until 2008 when they re-released in a package. Ever since then, it seems like a tradition for 11's to come out during the holiday season. Now I just await for my long beloved concords and columbias and a few other colorways that interest me.

I also admit that I am not one of those stupid kids that walk in a strange manner because they have to be "fresh to death" and prevent a crease from forming on there sneakers. I like it when sneakers get dirty cause it gives a little character to the shoe. For example my hare 7's are just...uhh not clean (the pictures make it look cleaner than they really are), but that's the beauty to me. So if you think its disrespect to dirty some jays...They're just shoes homie, relax.
