What's Your Legacy?

Hello Fellow Weekenders.  I hope all is well with everyone.  Weather is getting colder, so I hope you been keeping warm.

I have been pretty busy these past weekends- working on some music.  If you don't already know I play for a worship band (Alife Worship Band) which is a campus based ministry that serves students and non students of Rutgers University.  I've been a part of this ministry for awhile now (about 4 years) , and during my time serving here, I have met some of the most talented and creative artists in my life.  I play guitar for an artist by the name of London McKoy and wow this girl can SANGGG.  While working on some music last weekend, we were talking about what we want to be remembered for.

Have any of you ever thought about what you want to be remembered for?  When I was a younger, I wanted to be famous, and sometimes I still do, but I realize more and more life is not about that. I want to be remembered, yes.  What for though?  I want to make a Difference.  Whether that means using my music, dance, artistry or just being there for someone in need.  When people say your name when you are gone, what do you want them to say?  Try and reflect on your life and see if what you are doing in life is YOUR purpose.  It takes time for some people to find their purpose and for some, it takes no time, but everyone has a purpose in life.  Let us try to make our legacy, one to remember, a positive one, a legacy that will live on.  Remember, no one on this earth can do what YOU do, so just do whatever that is.  Do this without fear, and let NOTHING hold you back.

I also am leaving you with more Fall Fashion Fun.  Here are a couple shots of different styles.  I love how everyone has a different sense of style, yet its still so very unique and dope at the same time! I love it.  #SweaterSeason

I leave with a verse of encouragement:

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I h ave for you, "declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future"

Think Pink x RSBS ALL Black Party x Fall Fashion

What's going on WEEKENDERS!?

Apologies for the late post...I was pretty busy these past two weekends trying to take over the world...well...not really.  I just been spending time with family and having fun.

RSBS (Razorsharp Barbershop and Shave Parlor) gathered up a group of people to walk in this years Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk...(Registered and everything or you won't get the certified sticker to let you know its for real! lol) I was able to walk with them, which was an honor to honor those who unfortunately passed from this, fortunately survived and those who are fighting everyday!.  So..Shoutout to all those who support this cause!

Also we had the all BLACK party which was crazy RATCHET! lol I really do not even party or drink like that, but I gotta say I had a soberly good time.

I also was able to give another look for this Fall...I love fall fashion because you can literally wear whatever, from sweaters to light jackets and still look cool without sweating profusely (ewk lol).  Also, I love when you can wear Men's wear and still making it look feminine.  I feel like a lot of men's clothing are just....BETTER than women's clothing, from fitting to the material used, but thats just me.

Lastly an important tip I walked away with last week when I went to my weekly bible study was... The environment you surround yourself with is very important. In general, have you ever thought if the people you hang with are making you better or worse? That's just something you need to ask yourself everyday if you are trying to make yourself into a better you.  Surround yourself with positive and real people, and if you happen to want to walk with Christ, those who will help you in your walk and also hold you accountable.  We can't live this life alone or walk this journey alone.  WE IS BETTER THAN I!

God Bless Y'all!!!
