Excuse My Expression

The Brothers of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity asked me to dance at one of there events at Rutgers University. It was such a blessing to be in the midst of other artists who express themselves through song, dance, spokenword, and other various forms. I did my "heart ache" set which I call it. It represents hurting from a heart break and how you think you can't even be friends with someone because things seem so different(Trey Songz Part). It hurts and how no matter they do to you, you keep holding them down, feeling so foolish and stupid (Jazmine Sullivan Part). Although you think there's nothing left for you, there is always God and that is why I end my set with "Looking for You" by Kirk Franklin. It was just a blessing to be there and I'm so thankful that God keeps opening doors for me that I never would think to be open. I'm trying to carry my cross everyday, and it is a struggle for me because I am NOT a perfect person and there is a lot of things that still tempt me to go back to my old ways, but I know there is no future for me if I keep looking back. Shout outs to my home girl SISI NIKE (mymodestmouth.blogspot.com) who killed it with her boyfriend reciting poetry and my extended Rutgers fam, Chaos Theory, but not to forget, my partner ZAY, who demolished his acapella rap set.

Beautifully & Wonderfully Made

I can only say that through all my days and all my hurt, only God has me. I'm a sinner for sure and I know I'm not perfect. The things that I'm ashamed of now, what did I gain from doing these things? Nothing. I actually was hurt from all that I've done wrong. People played me, people that I thought were worth my every effort and love, just were not. Through it all, God never left me. Remember whatever happens to you all, there is someone there to catch you when you fall.
